With the thrust given to existing and new industries in the draft Goa Industrial Growth and Investment Promotion Policy 2022, announced today, the CII Goa reacted positively to the draft saying, that it would improve ease of doing business in the state.

“The processes for setting up of new industries in a time-bound manner, granting of permissions based on a declaration, introduction of common application form system, also empowering the Investment Promotion Board to authorise land conversions wherever needed in a time-bound manner, and evolving a transparent system of implementation are points to be appreciated,??? said the industry body.

“Logistics has been one of the key focus area which CII has been pushing for to become part of industrial activity. We welcome the government’s move in this direction and look forward to the Goa IPB fast-tracking all permissions related to the logistics industry in the state,??? said Swati Salgaocar, chairperson, CII Goa.,

The industry body expects growth of industries in the state to be faster with the draft policy and said that, the government’s intention of encouraging clean industrial activity is welcome.
