The 8th edition of Goa Hospitality Expo, the state’s biggest exhibition on hotel and restaurant equipment and supplies, will be open till Saturday at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee air conditioned stadium, Bambolim. Organised by Media Promotions & Hospitality First, the exhibition is one of the biggest in the country in terms of the number of stalls and the national and international brands which have showcased their products for the first time in India. The exhibition is supported by Incredible India, ministry of tourism.

The expo was inaugurated by Sadanand Shet Tanavade, chairman of EDC Ltd., in the presence of guests of honour Jyoti Sardesai, director, Directorate of Food & Drug Administration, and Vincent Ramos, senior VP, IHCL Goa. President of TTAG Nilesh Shah; president of SKAL, Goa, Ernest Dias; president of Culinary Forum of Goa Ranjeet Pandey; and Kedar Dhume, Clive Sequeira and Pradeep Gopalan were also present.

The special attractions include display of kitchen equipment, refrigeration, glass and glassware, cutlery products, food and beverage processing equipment, bar and wine accessories, tea and coffee equipment and appliances, brewing machinery and products, food additives and ingredients, CCTV and security systems, hotel information systems, air-conditioning systems, restaurant furniture, casino industry products, and many more. There are 100 plus companies showcasing over 500 products.
