Margao: The Madgaon School Complex Co-operative Credit Society recently received an approval for the expansion of its area of operations to Ponda and Dharbandora talukas.

Speaking to media persons recently, the chairman of the credit society Babaji Sawant said, “The society has more than 200 school staff associated with it. The decision to add these two talukas to its area of operation apart from Salcete, Mormugao, Quepem, Canacona and Sanguem was taken in the annual general body meeting held on December 21, 2021 and accordingly the procedures were done. Now, teachers and non-teaching staff of educational institutions from these two talukas can also avail the services of this society, which has been serving its members for the last 42 years in a transparent manner.???

“The fully computerised office is managed by the manager and its staff in Margao. There are two extension counters at Dabolim and Canacona. Apart from personal, housing and vehicle loan facilities, deposit facilities are also available in form of term deposit and recurring deposits,??? said Sawant.
