Finance Minister to hold pre-budget consultations with Trade & Industry bodies on 16th Dec New Delhi, Dec 8 (KNN) The preparations for Union Budget 2021-22 are to be formally kick-started as Finance Minister is going to start holding meetings with representatives of trade and industries, trade unions, farmers among others.  

According to the communication sent by Ministry of Finance,  Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to meet the representatives of Trade and Industry on 16th Dec 2020 including national MSME bodies.

Owing to Covid protocol, the meeting will be convened virtually.

The Trade Unions and Federations of Employers are called for similar meetings on 18th Dec 2020.

The forthcoming Budget is going to be closely watched as it is widely expected to unleash public spending to boost demand.
